Is it just me, or does Tomoko remind me a lot of Chris Chan?
What's on your mind?
after the anime ends where do I start reading the manga from
i read the manga lol
On the 'Anime adaption' page it mentions the chapters used for the anime and the OVA but the OVA chapters are not highlighted on the chart on the page for some reason. If anyone knows the chapters used in the ova could they add them, please?
I mean - IGNORE ME!!! Figured I could post some thoughts here without polluting the greater wiki.
Had a real life Watamote moment - last one was finding 'Twice-Cooked Pork' on a restaurant menu (it's delicious.) This time I went to a beach infested with Stingrays. And because I live in America and not Japan, I did not learn this by seeing a sign; I learned by getting stung. If they do a live-action Watamote Netflix movie set in the US (Death Note style,) that part of the story will end with everyone burying their feet in hot sand for almost three hours in a vain effort to mask the searing pain.
Now that walking is uncomfortable and I'm lying in bed, I'm thinking about re-reading/watching Welcome to the NHK. I admit I sort of avoid Nico Tanigawa's other works on purpose, to not overload or dilute the impact Watamote has; I'll read them someday, but not now. If you haven't seen Welcome to the NHK, it is *very* thematically/tonally close to Watamote, but quite different angle and a more plot-driven/dramatic (rather than slice-of-life) approach. It's nowhere near as thoughtfully crafted as Watamote IMO, but it has its intelligent points and it hits them. Curious what anyone thinks of it if they're familiar; it's been over ten years since I've watched/read it.
Good evening everyone, myself know it's dumb making an analysis of sport results in a manga of slice-of-life comedy, however I wanted to do it, I apologize with TheDoctorX if I didn't explain well myself in past times, you are free to question it or debate it if you like so.
There is also a "continity error" which I noticed while I was making this analysis, and I would like to know your opinion about it.
The school that Tomoko attends, Makuhari Shuuei High School.
Does anyone here go on the Reddit Discord for WataMote? I'm a regular there and it's pretty active, in case anyone was wondering.
I'm thinking of making a new template for organizing chapter info, since the current layout of the chapter pages looks a bit bland. No offense to any of y'all.
Chapter 122 gives the full names of some characters like Mako near the beginning. Should those be edited into the articles? Not really sure tbh, 'cause I got those from World Three's translation so I don't know if what I'm seeing is canon or not.
Hi everyone, I’m planning on adopting the Wiki due to the lack of active admins. I’ve been consistently editing since late 2015 and intend on remaining active. I’m approachable and can work well with others. In the past, I’ve collaborated with Kinkydarkness to make the navigation bar for both the anime and manga as well as new chapter pages. I hope with this information I can gain your approval.

Might be useful to make a page like this here, to show what chapter have been used in anime episodes.
In the Appearance section of the Character pages, we have a list of the chapters and episodes they have appeared in. My question is if we should also include the chapters or episodes they have just been mentioned in. This happens a lot more with Tomoki than the other characters. Tomoko mentions his whereabouts for the chapter or some other random tidbit about him. I don't know if that actually counts as an appearance but if we want to include it, I think we can make the chapter/episode number italicized so it's different from the regular/actual appearances that are already there. Let me know your thoughts.
I was planning to create a new page dedicated toward the cast and in general anyone involved in the creation of both the manga and anime adaptation, although I wanted some input first. Essentially, it is a full, categorized list of roles followed by the names of those who worked said positions. Something along that line at least, I guess. It could include information ranging from staff and staff roles, to the Japanese and English voice cast, to even companies involved and various websites or other links, etc. I figured this information is useful to some and not always easy to find, and to date I had yet to have spotted it within this site. Basically, I am genuinely interested in what you all may think of this. If you like the idea, does the aforementioned information sound like it belongs there and or is it missing something? And if this page is set up, I tried to think of somewheres it might go so as to prevent creating a page nobody can access but all I could think of was the main home page, I was kinda hoping someone might have a suggestion.
PS - Just a small irrelivant suggestion, but on character pages I was wondering if a tab system could be implemented where you can click to view the manga / anime image of said character in their template thing. Granted it would only be on half their pages since many didn't make it to an adaptation yet or possibly ever, still.
Thanks in advance -
I noticed a lot of the character pages have varying hierarchy with the section headings. I think it would be a good idea to agree on one format to keep things more organized. I've been using this format (minus the character overview & quotes because I forget to put it in):
(info on their development/role throughout the series/manga)
(characters organized by prominence)
Galley (if it applies)
Does this format seem okay or should it be different?
1) Does anyone mind if I delete the ‘Unanswered Questions’ section from the Chapter pages? I personally have never used it so I don’t really see a reason to keep it.
2) Regarding the titles of each chapter, does anyone have a preference between “Since I’m Not Popular, I’ll (something)’’ and “Because I’m Not Popular, I’ll (something).” I've been using "Becasue I'm Not..." but I noticed I was using the other one before so I'll have to change it depending on what the preferred title is.
3) Also, regarding the format, I want to move the “Characters” section up so that it is right below the “Synopsis." I think bears more importance than the "Referbacks" and "Trivia." Is that okay with everyone?
Hello to all, I am aware of the currently existing season 2 thread but this is in regards to an actual plan that may or may not go anywhere.
The idea is that we pick a date and a particular piece of merch and mass buy it in a final bid for a season 2.
