Synopsis

This chapter is a two-parter. The cover depicts the absence of Tomoko and Yuri. Hina looks with concern towards their empty desks. Nearly fully off-panel, Mako touches the sleeping Masaki's arm.

At her desk at home, Tomoko dutifully writes. Before her, the face of Yuri on her computer screen looms down on her. From her perspective, Yuri announces that it is 11 P.M., and she asks if they should call it. Tomoko acknowledges this, but she then asks if they should try go to their limits tonight.

Surprised, Yuri reminds her that they have school the following day. Tomoko replies that since their first classes are politics and physical education, they can sleep through them. Back to Yuri's perspective, Tomoko is heard explaining that there are things she wants to think about tomorrow so she feels like she wants to get tomorrow's studying done now. Yuri admits that she does not mind.

Over an animesque sparkly background, probably Yuri agrees and announces that she will put on some coffee. Probably Tomoko replies that she will grab some coffee and snacks as well.

Tomoko has a steaming cup of coffee with a packet of Pocky sticks. On her screen, Looming Yuri also has a steaming glass of what at the end of the chapter will clearly be tea. The next panel shows Tomoko smiling slightly as she listens on her headphones. Back to Yuri's perspective, she sees and hears Tomoko emit a snicker. In her panel, Tomoko smiles and her expression brightens. Looming Yuri on her screen asks her what is so funny. When Tomoko "N?" in response, Yuri asks her why she is laughing.

Looking with concern, Yuri asks her if she did something funny. Tomoko complains that, from that angle, everything Yuri says feels overwhelming.

Yuri tries to move her phone over her head as Tomoko explains over her speaker that she was listening to the radio while studying, and she just laughed at it. Yuri asks her if she is the type to listen to the radio while studying. Tomoko replies that she started once she got into studying.

Yuri efforts with her phone presents a view WataMote Wiki cannot describe with adequate justice and refers the Noble Readership to the Gallery. She suggests that Tomoko could play it without the headphones. Chibi Tomoko responds that it will just bother her, then remarks on the view she is getting. Still looming up in Tomoko's screen, Yuri insists that she does not mind, and she can simply mute her if it becomes annoying. Tomoko explains that the content is pretty vulgar, and Yuri now looks like something out of the Blair Witch Project.

As Yuri holds her phone in her left hand, Tomoko explains that there are a lot of vulgar words, such as, "piss," "shit," "phimosis," "ejaculation." Yuri calmly replies that those are the sort of things Tomoko normally says, then she asks her what she is listening to. Back to her panel, Tomoko agrees, and the voice on the radio starts to discuss messages that make the heart pound. Her monitor reveals that Yuri has placed her phone far away behind her. She asks Yuri if she can even hear it. Yuri insists that she can, and she only did this because Tomoko kept complaining about the camera angle. As Yuri returns to her studies, Chibi Tomoko remarks that she can only see her back, and she is framed just like the one shot by the author of Chainsaw Man. She asks if she should just turn off her camera.

Yuri continues to study with noise in the background from her phone. In her panel, Tomoko hears the person on her program explain that when he becomes flustered he takes out his penis which becomes hard immediately. In mid-munch, Tomoko inwardly deems her program damn funny. She hears a stifled giggle and sees Yuri, from behind, duck down her head. In her panel, she bites her lip as Tomoko's asks her if she laughed. Yuri denies that she did.

The clock reveals that it is 2:30 A.M.

Yuri pushes back from her desk as she stretches and exhales. Onomatopoeia expresses "silence." She looks at her phone and sees that Tomoko is sleeping at her desk. She awakes her by clapping her hands repeatedly in front of her phone. Looming down in Tomoko's screen, she demands to know why Tomoko is sleeping. Tomoko denies that she is, and Yuri then demands to know if Tomoko is imitating her. Over a view of the night sky, Chibi Yuri reminds Tomoko that she said they would go to the morning. Bleary-Eyed Chibi Tomoko corrects her that she said they would go to their limit and not necessarily the morning.

Shown: "You now have seven days, Yuri-chan."

Chewing on a Pocky, Tomoko struggles to continue her study. However, she notices that Yuri had nodded off. She quickly messes up her hair. Yuri is startled by a noise, looks at her phone, and is startled by Tomoko recreating the classic movie shot of Sadoko Yamamura. Still, Tomoko deems her reaction "thin." Yuri admits that she was pretty surprised. Tomoko asks her if she wet herself. Yuri denies that she did but concedes that Tomoko's messy hair and heavy bags have as much impact as the real thing. Tomoko deems this bad-mouthing in the form of a compliment.

Tomoko starts to ask Yuri if she was sleeping, but Yuri quickly interrupts to deny it. Tomoko replies that she has no idea how Yuri can deny it in her state. She adds that Yuri can sleep if she wants to since it is not as if sleeping is forbidden. With a focus on Yuri's left eye, Tomoko notes that it is almost 4 A.M., and Yuri must be sleepy since she has sleepy looking eyes. She insists that Yuri was sleeping, but Yuri interrupts to deny it. Confused Chibi Tomoko does not accept this.

With a view of the dawn sky, Fatigue Chibi Tomoko adits that it is almost morning, and she might sleep a bit. Yuri angrily replies that she will not let her sleep after Tomoko made her wide awake. Tomoko observes that she was more scared than she thought.

The next panel shows Yuri collapsed on her desk with her face on her phone and her right hand still holding her pen. Tomoko similarly snoozes with Yuri's half-open eye on her screen.
