Synopsis

This chapter can be from Hina's perspective.

Akane looks on with concern as Shiki turns on a projector on a class desk. The next panel shows the projected title card on the movie screen reading, in English, "BE FOOL, BE COOL." Presumably Shiki off-panel repeats, "It's projecting." Another voice, presumably Akane's, asks what is wrong with this projector, and presumably Shiki responds, "school property." The next panel reveals the front of the classroom. Shiki sits next to the projector with Tomoko standing behind it and to Shiki's right. Behind them stands Yuri, and to her right forming a semi-circle stands Asuka, Hina, Akane, and then Yoshinori who has his hands on Wada's shoulders.

The screen now shows "Fool Cool Every Day." Hina asks Akane how the filming is and if they are done. Akane replies that the last one is more difficult, but it should be finished by this week. Over a scene of students, including Oka, Not Sachi-Chan, and the Girl with Left Ponytail, running in a hall, with a boy tossing papers that have the numbers "3" and "5" and the kanji for "year (年)," a Concerned Chibi Hina remarks that it is awesome and asks how they did the first scene. Chibi Akane replies, "Futaki did some light editing and seems to know a lot about such things." Chibi Tomoko thinks, "she is a YouTuber."

Hina asks if they can run a bit of their movie, and Akane readily agrees. The screen shows Yuri entering the classroom as she emits, "HAHA kept you waiting." Hina observes that on the big screen it looks more like a movie. She begins to sweat as the subsequent dialogue is heard and inwardly notes, "Aa, next is that scene of mine." On cue, Hina appears sucking on her hand with the dialogue, "don't let that obscene sound echo through the club room," heard from Kotomi.

Yoshinori sweats as he watches, Akane looks with shock, but Wada smiles. To her shock, Hina thinks, "E? They're repulsed?!!" She understands "A-chan," but notices that "Yocchan" is pulling back as well. She looks at the back of the heads of three anonymously drawn boys sitting on the floor watching and wonders if they are also repulsed.

The next scene in the movie shows Tomoko, Fūka, and Yuri's respective characters complimenting Hina's character on her "performance," so to write. Over this, Hina inwardly confesses that she was not sure about her performance; however, since "everyone" thought it was awesome, she misunderstood. With a view of her skirt, she continues, "Because I've been competing against Kuro, I've been swept away and drifting further from normal." Sweating, she angrily affirms that she does not want to be a "normal girl (普通の女・futsū no onna)," but she has been roped into doing lewd things by "Kuro."

In her room and dressed in her pajamas, she moves the eroge game into her computer's "trash" bin. She then sighs as she clutches her stuffed bear to her chest.

Animesque lens flare appears outside the school to mark a new day. Hina walks the hallway happily chatting with Tomoko. They encounter Fūka with her Experienced Friend. "Aa! It's the girl!" Fūka remarks as she looks at Hina. She complements her, to Hina's somewhat surprise, "It's Oral Sex Master, Master of Fellatio, Nemoto!"

Fūka addresses her friend as "Rise," and contends that while Rise has learned by practice, "Nemoto" is a genius who can do more erotic acting than the real thing with just her knowledge of games, and she is trying to become a "pro" that way. Rise protests that Fūka mischaracterizes her as a "slut," and she does not have that experience since she has only had three boys. She then double-takes and asks "she's trying to become a pro?"

Still Somewhat-Surprised Hina turns away from them as Fūka asks after her. Tomoko tells "Nemo" that Fūka is not badmouthing her. Hina retorts that it certainly sounds that way. Tomoko insists that "that bitch" is half-gorilla and human, so she really meant it as a compliment. With a view of Fūka's left eye, Chibi Tomko insists that those "clear, beautiful eyes," are the same as that of a "handsome gorilla." Chibi Hina considers this.

Back to normal, Fūka asks Tomoko to show "this girl how Nemoto acted at that time." Rise giggles as she asks "What! What!" Hina insists that she does not have to do that. Tomoko produces her phone and shows a recording of the scene to the laughter of Rise and the blushing of Hina. Still laughing, Rise insists that it is hilarious since it does not sound like that. Slightly blushing Tomoko repeats "that was hilarious," while the still blushing Hina inwardly rages that she does not find it "hilarious (ウケる)."

"Then as for the real thing, how does it sound?" Fūka asks Rise.

Rise insists that she does not have much experience, then asks Fūka if she has never seen a porn video. Fūka confesses that she has not, while Tomoko inwardly admits that she has. Hina meekly watches and thinks, "Well, I haven't heard anything like this from Akane-san and others." The panel focuses on Rise's face as Hina continues to muse, "Some girls do that kind of thing normally." The next panel focuses on Rise's mouth as she is speaking words Hina pays no attention to. She continues her rumination that Rise did what they do in the game. "Is that not amazing?"

With her Lascivious Look, Tomoko remarks to Hina that what they are hearing is great and will help her with her performance. Hina looks with shock and blushes deeply. She also sweats. She closes her eyes and notes that, once again, when she is around Tomoko and her friends, she cannot help but go towards the lewd. She responds to Tomoko by stating, "What? I mean, I'm not interested in that kind of talk." This startles Tomoko who exclaims, "Even though you were playing all that eroge?!!" "Because I didn't play them that much!!" Hina screams back.

The view shifts to Fūka and Rise watching with some surprise. Angry Chibi Hina declares, "I mean, up until now, I've just been hanging out with you [Kuro] and talking about erotic games and stuff like that. But I really hate it!!" Stunned Chibi Tomoko can only "E?!" in surprise. Normal, Tomoko watches with sadness, but Hina responds, "No, aren't you too sad? You should be sad about something else." The next panel focuses on Rise laughing as she hangs on to Fūka who looks in their direction with some concern. Fūka offers, "Well, they say talent and what you want to do are two different things." Rise giggles as she claims she enjoys the work of a number of Censored in the Japanese Original actresses. "I saw them on Instagram!" she adds with a "do your best!"

Angry Chibi Hina marvels, "because you misunderstand!!"

At her desk, observed by Yuri, Tomoko scribbles on a piece of paper. It reveals her crossing out a line from Hina that reads, "I'm almost cumming!" Yuri asks, "You're changing Nemoto-san's line?" Tomoko replies that it is becomes "Nemo's erotic lines" are "no good." The scene shifts to Hina and Akane happily sipping from boxed juices. Yuri approaches and stares at Hina with a bit of a head shake. The next panel shows the two of them at the balcony outside. Hina smiles as she remarks, "From you [Tamura-san], isn't this the first invitation?"

Yuri does not look at her as she replies that the only good performance from "Nemoto-san" in the movie is the erotic sounds. When Hina insists that there must be others, Yuri ignores her and continues to explain that she does not like the "Nemoto-san" who usually plays a character, or shows herself only occasionally, and the Nemoto-san in the movie was exactly the same as her usual self. "But the time doing that erotic acting, since it was real acting, I think it was good." Hina inwardly marvels for a moment, "Tamura-san, who usually doesn't opine on anything from me . . . comes to me only for my erotic performance?I" With a view of the sky, she continues to wonder: "Veranda . . . sky . . . youthful mood . . . if the content is not erotic. . . ." Upset Chibi Hina demands, "What? I should do it?" but Nonplussed Chibi Yuri simply emits the Classical Japanese "not in particular."

For a moment, Hina looks at Yuri. Behind Yuri stands Tomoko looking back at them. A few feet away, Fūka leans against the wall as she regards Tomoko.

Finally, she leans on the balcony, looks out, and in resignation declares, "I get it. I should do it." Yuri looks towards her with a sincere smile, while both Tomoko and Fūka similarly smile at her.

"Again, I'm getting swept up in eroticism with Kuro and the others. . . ." she inwardly laments.

• A Very Special Chapter of WataMote: WataMote Wiki tries to keep things light and allow a bit of humor, but there are some serious points:
  • "A Great Big Sucking Sound!": a Special Tomoko Valentine Chocolate to those who can discern the source of that reference. Emiri vouches for them! Underneath all of the humor is what Rise says, which is that the sounds Hina makes, which eroge uses, which Tomoko is familiar with and Fūka utterly falls for, are not realistic. They are . . . um . . . often enhanced to . . . er . . . elevate . . . no . . . focus, focus on the act, so to write. It underscores the innocence of Hina, Tomoko, and Fūka while revealing that they argue about making an unrealistic performance more real by making it even more unrealistic. Hence Tomoko's previous scolding that Hina was not doing it properly.
  • "She's a Very Freaky Girl": Fūka has acted as sort of a "dumb antagonist." WataMote Wiki will dispense with pages of speculation on her current obsessions and embarrassment over her innocence but will note they are similar to Hina's. Her admiration is sincere, and she appears legitimately concerned that Hina is hurt given her silent expressions. This also includes her choice to follow Hina to the balcony but hang back and watch.

• "A Girl has a Limit": Albeit taking off her mask and showing her true self in Chapter 122, Hina is still scared about how people perceive her; yet, at the same time she feels in competition with Tomoko regarding who has more knowledge of sexual matters as in Chapter 139 even though she finds it embarrassing. Both aspects of her life collide with each other, and she reaches her limit and yells the truth to Tomoko about how she hates such material.
• "A Girl Speaks Truth": In Chapter 130.5 Yuri confesses to not hate Hina, but she also confesses to not like her. Chapter 200-2 presents a bit of a rapprochement between the two. This chapter affirms the suspicion that the reason Yuri disliked Hina was she felt Hina always put on an act rather than be herself.
