Synopsis

This chapter continues from the previous. The cover depicts various WataGirls™ in a foodcourt and reading area of the spa. In the foreground, Tomoko and Yuri sit reading manga. At a table behind them, Shiki and Masaki eat from bowls. Across from them Reina and Anna chat. Further behind them and in front of the court, Asuka and Hina chat. A narration curved over Yuri's legs reads "Relaxation Time."

Surrounded by the "piing" chicks, Tomoko talks into her phone. She confirms to the listener that she is preparing for the Cultural Festival, then states she thinks she can go to school. She encourages, "it's okay, it's okay, there are others besides me, all girls." She then repeats the question, "change of clothes?" She replies that there is a coin laundry.

She exhales a "Fū" as Hina asks her if it is okay. "She trusts me on a daily basis," Tomoko replies.

With a view of the outside of the Kuroki home, Tomoko's mom calls Tomoki. At the entrance of his room, she admits that she is a little worried and he should go over there for a bit. Tomoki seems disgruntled about it. She reminds that Tomoki and the others are girls and she is worried that they could get in trouble. She continues that there is drinking and that is how they get suspended. Tomoki inwardly concedes that since she is a major idiot, it is possible.

WataGirls watch One Piece . . . probably

The scene shifts back to Shiki at a table working on her laptop while behind her Yuri looks at her phone and Tomoko lays on the floor watching her. Behind them, Reina and Anna sit watching the large television screen while Masaki faces towards Tomoko, Yuri, and Shiki. The screen reveals that it is 5:10 P.M. The television announces that it is the fourth evening news story, while the screen reads, "Nikkan Genjidai: "Women's Separation from Penis becomes More Serious!" The voice of the newsreader says this out loud which attracts the attention of Tomoko and Yuri. They watch as the newsreader continues to declare that nowadays, young women are turning away from the penis according to social network sites. As he says this, Yuri turns to look at her phone, and Tomoko looks back at her. The news moves on to the third story on economics.

Masaki: "Smells like teen spirit!"

Tomoki walks in. Looking at them watching television, he inwardly complains, "It's no different from home, right! Right?" Masaki startles a bit when she notices him. Feeling that there is nothing to do, he chooses to go to the baths. Masaki watches him leave and inwardly declares, "That guy. . . ?! Was here?!" Sweating, she sniffs her garment and notes that she has not yet taken a bath, which elicits a surprised reaction from Reina next to her.

Masaki gets up and walks to Yuri and tells her, "Tamura, let's go to the bath. We haven't been there yet." Yuri quickly agrees. Her phone beeps with a message from Mako asking what happened next and is the film okay. At her desk at home, Mako's phone beeps back. She is surprised to read from Yuri that everyone is at a public bath and Tomoki has arrived. She sees Yuri looking at her from her phone with an undressed Masaki standing behind her. Yuri's message indicates that "Yoshida" and her are going to enter the baths, and Tomoko should also.

Time Lady Emiri!

Mako stares wide eyed for a moment with a spider web or shattered-glass background. She dials on her phone and greets Emiri with the news that "Kuroki-san" and all of her friends from school are at the Super Bathhouse. Emiri's voice replies with, "What? That's gross!" Mako continues that other friends should go to, but the scene shifts to Emiri briskly walking in a long shirt over shorts with her backpack announcing in her phone that she is already on her way there. A Shocked Chibi Mako marvels, "FAST!"

Looking at her phone, Mako wonders that since it is night time, and she would like someone to go with her, but wonders who would go with her on the night before the Cultural Festival.

At her desk and in casual dress with her hair up, Faced Sachi notices that it is "Makocchi" who is calling her and wonders why out of nowhere. She inwardly complains that she hates answering urgent calls and intends to ignore it and pretend she did not notice. The phone continues ringing, and with a "tsk" Sachi answers. Without her face, but with a smile, Sachi asks "Makocchi" why she is calling so suddenly but states that she was not busy, she was just in her room.

Mako explains that "Yuri" just called to say that everyone from school is at the Super Bathhouse. Sachi's voice asks if it is the one with hot water, and Mako affirms that. With her face, Sachi smiles as she hears Mako ask her if it would be okay for them to go together. She replies that if Mako had called her a little earlier she would be happy to go to the entertainment, whilst inwardly declaring she definitely will not go. Mako's voice replies that the "Tomoki-kun" Yuri mentioned before has also come, which elicits a twitch from Sachi. Still smiling, she muses that Mako is leading her for her own convenience: "I'm a little pissed. . . ." Nevertheless, she replies, "I'll go. Where should go together? Where should I head?"

Over a view of the night sky, Sachi concludes her call with Mako: Mako tells Sachi she will take the bus to the station, and then Sachi can join her on the way. Sachi responds that she will also talk to "Koharu-chan." Mako wonders if "Minami-san" can go; Sachi assures her that she is not busy. The Smiling-Faceless Chibi Sachi then calls Koharu: "A- Koharu-chan, lets go to the spa now? It will make your skin beautiful, and you'll lose weight." A Somewhat-Irritated Chibi Koharu agrees that that will be alright. Inwardly, Chibi Sachi chortles, "Koharu-chan's easy -"

Not Shown: An Invitation . . . goodness no!

Tomoko and Shiki sit in a bath next to one another. Both stare ahead, with Shiki wearing her hair down. Without warning, a naked Emiri walks into the bath in front of Tomoko. Inwardly, Tomoko screams, "E-?!! I don't remember?!"

Without a word, Emiri sits down next to Tomoko and, like Shiki, stares ahead. Tomoko regards her then stares ahead herself, scrunching her eyes tightly. Emiri's face takes the blush of Tomoko and Shiki from the heat.

Inwardly, Tomoko laments that the hot "emo" water makes her face into an emoji.

• Sonic Hedgehog: Yuri's phone avatar for Mako appears to be a hedgehog, a porcupine, or roadkill. Her own phone appears to have a background with hedgehogs. WataMote Wiki does not judge.

Memorable Moments

• Doctor Who?: One of the inside jokes about Emiri is her apparent ability to just appear near Tomoko, sometimes to the surprise of others like Akane. She appears to have gained the ability to control time.
• "Tomoko's Mom has it Going On!": Despite the comedy and excuse to toss Tomoki into the Sea of WataGirls, Tomoko's Mom does have a realistic concern about what teenage girls could do unsupervised, especially if The Hip Hop is involved! WataMote Wiki is not angry that you wonder if this is because she recalls how she behaved when a teenager, just disappointed. And can recommend some dōjinshi . . . probably.
• The Three Emoji: With two Emojis in one bath, the concentration of emoji-ness affects Tomoko as well, leading to her making an expression similar to Konata Izumi.
• "Smells Like Delinquent Spirit": Seeing Tomoki, Masaki either legitimately has self-conscious concern about her choice in perfume, or she is looking for an excuse to go to the baths. Stay tuned!
• "You have become the very thing you swore to destroy!": Regardless of the justification for which Mako began to hang out Koharu and Sachi, or why she still hangs out them, and even after having deemed Sachi as a bad influence for Koharu; Mako has no problem to recur to the same dirty tricks as Sachi, in this case, to appeal other's interests with such of manipulating and persuading them to get she wants, in this case, getting Sachi to go along her to the super bathhouse, and by mentioning that Tomoki is there, Sachi wants to go along.
